 Dear Colleagues,
I feel very honoured to communicate with you from this page. After a lot of efforts we managed to have our web site. When very few of us started thinking about organising a Mediterranean Society, we had in mind how to help each other around Mediterranean Sea, in our daily practice and in the long-rand, for the benefit of our patients and the new coming colleagues. We started organising a biennial Mediterranean congress of PRM with an increase both in participation and in the scientific standard of the presenting works. On 2000, we decided to be organised more officially, establishing a Statute and a Board of our Society, which we decided in a General Assembly to name it: "Mediterranean Forum of Physical and Rehabilitation Medicine". We had dreams for a small scientific Mediterranean family but a strong and respectable Society was developed with a lot of members from 22 countries around our Sea from all 3 continents. Working hard we managed to offer to our members, besides the biennial congress, an official indexed journal: the "Europa Medicophysica" with very low subscription fees, the operation of the "Euro-Mediterranean Rehabilitation Summer School" in Syracuse of Sicily and free electronic books.
My letter is an open invitation to all of you who would like to be members of our Society. You are welcome free (no membership fees), if you are specialists in PRM or at the final stage of the speciality, you are working in one of the Mediterranean countries, and you have a personal e-mail address.
Finally, I would like to congratulate all those who have contributed to the creation of the web site of our Society.
